Subject: Important Notice Regarding BCCI Guidelines on Player Registration,

As per the BCCI guidelines, any player  born abroad or holding an overseas passport will not be eligible for online registration in any age group..  

However, such cricketers will be allowed to represent an association  only if they hold a valid Indian passport issued within the  jurisdiction of the association they wish to represent.

Please note that,  for this season only, the one-year residence rule laid down by the BCCI has been  relaxed. Starting from the  2026-27 season, players must possess a  valid Indian passport with an address issued in the jurisdiction of the respective association  on or before 01.09.2025.

Note: Players falling under this category are advised to obtain their  Indian passport at the earliest..
